The Golden Mirror Ebook & PDF
- Step through the mirror into a forgotten Edinburgh attic.......
- Perfect for readers who love mystery, tarot and magical realism.
A forgotten mirror. A doorway through time. A journey that changes everything.
Ella lives a quiet life in Edinburgh, caring for the eccentric Miss Powell - a sharp-eyed elder with a gift for tarot and a love of healing herbs. It’s a very comfortable existence, but everything changes when Ella stumbles across a golden mirror hidden in the attic of the grand old Victorian house.
One step through the mirror, and Ella finds herself in 1920s Edinburgh, drawn into the world of Lily - a bold young woman defying society by volunteering at the local asylum. Though separated by a century, Lily’s courage begins to awaken Ella’s own.
Back in the present, Ella faces her other challenges: a chaotic and troublesome sister, her growing feelings for the handsome handyman she’s convinced will never notice her, and Miss Powell’s mysterious wisdom guiding her toward something magical.
But the mirror’s pull is strong, and each journey blurs the lines between past and present. Will it help Ella find her purpose in life? Or is she risking missing opportunities in her own life?
Walk through the streets of Edinburgh both today and 100 years ago with Ella.
The Golden Mirror is a moving tale of transformation, love, and self-discovery.

The Golden Mirror - Fantasy, Reality, Learning from the past
Such a well-written and heartwarming read. From the first page, I was drawn into the world of Ella and her companions and the descriptions of Edinburgh over time between 2020 and 1920. A lovely, gentle read balanced with well-explained and well-explained experiences of life both now and then.
Highly recommended for fans of history, fantasy and realities in the last 100 years.
What a great first novel
What a great first novel. I was treated to insights into an older Edinburgh through a magical mirror; watching the transformation of a shy girl into an empowered woman, an empathetic healer who learned her craft from a well versed elder.
This is a powerful story, lessons to learn and learnt, I hope that Ella will go on to have further adventuresHoping this is the first book of many
How would I categorise this book, well, Historical, Esoteric, Magical, Fantasy, Romantic Fiction, so it has something for everyone.
As a healer and a student of the esoteric, tarot/oracle cards, herbalism and crystals, I have found this so refreshing that there is a beautifully gentle book that incorporates these elements and more.
What an absolute gem, I was totally absorbed into this book from start to finish. I never like to give storylines away – everyone should get the chance to find their own joy in reading a book – all I can really say is “Give this book a go”
